Despite a typhoon and an earthquake which prevented some 20 presenters from reaching Taichung, Taiwan, the Congress was blessed with over 300 attendees, from some 20 countries. All were pleased with the range of presentations and opportunities for networking.
The 5th World Congress was graced with more than double the number of scholarship recipients due to the cooperation of the U.S. Department of State Regional English Language Offices in Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines — in addition to those directly sponsored by the ERF.
