ERF signs MOU in Mongolia

Rob Waring and Paul Goldberg of the ERF attended a one day workshop in Ulan Bataar in Mongolia on June 22nd 2023. At the conference, Amartuvishin Bold General Director of the Implementing Agency of the General Department of Education, Nyam-Ochir Tumur-Ochir head of the Metropolitan Authority for Education, Khurts Sanuijav of the Mongolian Extensive Reading Association, Paul Goldberg of Xreading and Rob Waring of the ERF signed two Memoranda to cooperate in the future in ER projects. The ERF has committed to giving advice when developing ER programs in Mongolia. The agreement also allows MERA to apply to be a host of the ERF World Congress in the future.

The ministry has recently announced that English as an official second language. Moreover, the Ministry intends that Extensive Reading be a required component of the English Curriculum. The ERF greatly welcomes these developments.
