Successful ER Workshop in Bangkok, July 2023

The Extensive Reading Workshop held on July 21, 2023, was a resounding success. With a gathering of 80 dedicated teachers and enthusiastic individuals passionate about extensive reading.

The workshop’s agenda was thoughtfully created to promote extensive reading and foster a dynamic ER community in Thailand. Four distinguished speakers, including Emeritus Professors Paul Nation and Rob Waring, Paul Goldberg, and Todd Beuckens, delivered insightful and engaging presentations. Their expertise and contributions left a profound impact, offering valuable insights and strategies for promoting extensive reading in diverse educational settings.

Participants actively engaged in discussions, workshops, and networking sessions, creating a supportive environment for sharing knowledge and experiences. The atmosphere was one of enthusiasm and collaboration, reinforcing the importance of extensive reading as a powerful tool for language acquisition and personal growth.

The Extensive Reading Workshop was made possible through the generous support of The Extensive Reading Foundation, and their commitment to literacy education played a pivotal role in the event’s success. The ERF also funded the printing of hundreds of copies of the revised ERF Guide to Extensive Reading in Thai. The Thailand Extensive Reading Association thank the ERF.
