Language Learner Literature Award
The 14th LLL awards went to six “Winners” and eleven “Finalists” for books published with a 2018 copyright date. See the award page for further details. Winners were announced at CLESOL 2018 4-7 October, 2018, Christchurch, New Zealand, in the October 2018 EL Gazette and online.

July 2018 ER Roadshow Indonesia
The Indonesian Extensive Reading Association (Yuseva Wardhana, Chair) organized a “Roadshow” with Dr. Willy Renandya (Nanyang Institute of Technology, Singapore), Rob Waring (Notre Dame Seishin U., Japan) and Yuseva Iswandari at six locations on the island of Java. Two other IERA board members, Lanoke Intan Paradita (U. Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta) and Anita Kurniawati (Satya Wacana Christian University) also discussed their personal experiences with Extensive Reading.

August/September 2018 ER Roadshow Vietnam
During August and September, 2018 a number of ER enthusiasts from Japan delivered talks and workshops in 17 locations around Vietnam, including Can Tho (Can Tho U.), Cao Lanh (Dong Thap U.), Long Xuyen (An Giang U.), Ho Chi Minh City (RMIT, the Open University & Hoasen U.), Dalat (Dalat U.), Da Nang (Danang U. of Foreign Studies, RMIT), Hue (Hue U.), Ha Tinh (Ha Tinh U.), Vinh (Vinh U.) and Hanoi (ULIS, Ha Noi Pedagogical U., Ha Noi U. of Industry & RMIT). Participants included Rob Waring, Todd Beuckens, Paul Goldberg and Thomas Robb. The Roadshow culminated in an online lottery, with $5000 of readers won and delivered to the schools of eight of the participants. See full details here.

12-13 December – Extensive Reading Workshop for TEFLIN West Java in collaboration with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) for approx. 300 lecturers, teachers, and students in Bandung Province, Indonesia, by Yuseva Iswandari.
