Call for Papers Announcement
The Eighth World Congress on Extensive Reading (ERWC8) will be held at the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
This year’s theme, Smiles and Stories: Welcoming the World of Readers, reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to reading, fostering motivation, and strengthening global ER communities.
***Note that the date of the conference has changed from August 2027 to June 11–13 2027. ***
Abstract submissions open on July 1, 2026, and close on November 30, 2026. We welcome proposals from researchers, teachers, practitioners, and program developers working across all areas of extensive reading and related fields.

Scholarship applications: July 1 – October 31, 2026
Early bird registration: August 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027
Notification of decisions: December 1, 2026
